Responsibilities

The Institute of Electronics (IFE) was founded in 1963 and is one of the oldest academic research and educational institution in the country. It is part of the Faculty of Electrical and Information Engineering, and interacts with many institutes and research organizations. It is strongly linked to the surrounding semiconductor and automotive industry. Our expertise and experience spans from the System level down to the IC level and covers research areas in the field of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of ICs and electronic systems, electronic circuit design, electronic instrumentation, electronic under stress conditions as well as robust analog IC design. The institute offers an excellent infrastructure for the design, analysis, simulation and EMC characterization of electronic circuits and systems.

Become part of our team and support the Institute of Electronics in its research activities:

  • Robust IC design
  • Radiation hardness
  • Electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection of ICs and systems
  • ESD simulation (SEED)
  • EMC simulation of power electronics
  • Machine learning and EMC, in particular for optimization, risk analysis, and model calibration

Profile

Admission Requirements

Completed master's or diploma degree in electrical engineering (or similar).

Desired Qualification

  • RF measurement technology
  • Experience with circuit simulation tools, e.g. Cadence
  • Experience with 3d simulation tools, e.g. CST Studio Suite
  • Knowledge in machine learning methods

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 50,103.20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
