Join our International Max Planck Research School for your PhD in Quantum Science and Technology starting 2023!
The IMPRS-QST, based in Munich, is a joint program of the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics, the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and the Technical University of Munich. It offers an excellent and coherent graduate program across the fields of atomic physics, quantum optics, solid-state physics, material science, quantum information theory, and quantum many-body systems. PhD students are supported in developing research at the highest quality level in a stimulating international and interdisciplinary environment, and also receive a structured education in QST, including basic and specialized courses, as well as annual summer schools, soft skills courses and industry contact.
The IMPRS-QST is part of the Munich Quantum Valley (MQV) and also closely connected to the Munich Center for Quantum Science and Technology (MCQST)

Applicants must have completed a Master’s degree (or equivalent) with very good grades.
SELECTION PROCESS AND FURTHER INFORMATION
Based on the evaluation by the admission committee, applicants will be shortlisted for online interviews. Upon performance at these remote interviews, applicants might still be nominated and invited for on-site interviews if necessary.
