About the Faculty of Medical Sciences

The Medical & Paramedical Cluster’s mission is to create a health ecosystem combining academic activities, scientific research and care through the Smart Health Care City project of Benguerir.

The Faculty of Medical Sicences (UM6P-FMS), the Cluster's main institution, endeavors to build very high-level medical and paramedical study programs. UM6P-FMS aims to train polyvalent doctors, pharmacists and nurses in a scientific research environment of excellence, in partnership with international universities and leader pharmaceutical groups. 

The Faculty seeks to respond to current and future changes in medical practices through the Medicine and Polyvalent Nursing streams, and to develop of Biotechnology through the Pharmaceutical stream.

Job Description

The candidate will be required to:

• Develop and prescribe pharmaceutical treatment plans to support patient care and rehabilitation.
• Administer and manage pharmaceutical care, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.
• Monitor and evaluate the progress of therapeutic interventions, adjusting treatment as necessary.
• Perform administrative functions related to patient records, pharmaceutical management, and compliance with hospital protocols.
• Teach modules related to pharmacy practice and pharmacology as part of their expertise.
• Supervise pharmacy doctoral students and trainees in clinical settings through UM6P’s Doctorate programs.
• Participate in the training and supervision of clinical internships for students in the Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences at UM6P.
• Lead and participate in scientific research projects focused on pharmacology and medical sciences, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field.

Candidate Criteria 

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or PhD in Pharmacy or a related field.
• A minimum of three years of professional experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting.
• Teaching experience in pharmaceutical sciences or a related discipline is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and contribute to interdisciplinary research collaborations in pharmaceutical sciences.
• Contribution to the development of research funding proposals.
• Ability to engage professionally with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students across the university and is required.
• Strong English and French communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
• Good computers skills
