About Fab

The semiconductor wafer fab located in Micronova in Espoo facilitates the whole chain of research, development and small-volume production. The total area of the cleanroom is 2 600 m2, and there is an installed equipment base of 200 processing and measurement tools, enabling fabrication of devices for silicon photonics, radio, MEMS, quantum and hyperspectral applications. Micronova is a vibrant ecosystem, where more than twenty companies have access to the fab for the fabrication of their own products, and Aalto University operates independently in part of the facility. The operating income related to Microelectronics was € 30 million in 2021.

As a quality engineer you are responsible of

• day-to-day cleanroom processing related quality items/trouble shooting​ in collaboration between research and engineering teams
• quality procedures; such as deviation, ECN, 8D and control plan ​
• facilitating and supporting in larger issues in process platforms, guide troubleshooting and way of working
• owning the Quality Handbook for cleanroom operations​
• owning training set for quality system
• creating new quality procedures for cleanroom processing

We expect you to have:

• background and experience in semiconductor processing
• good knowledge of quality standards
• knowledge and experience in problem solving methods
• team working skills, good communication capabilities
• fluent spoken and writing in English is mandatory, fluent Finnish is an asset.

As a person you are:

• A person with good problem-solving and communication skills. We hope that you have a hands-on mentality, good collaboration skills and are able to create strong relationships with all cleanroom users. You are proactive, methodical, and willing to take responsibility.
