As Austria's largest research and technology organisation for applied research, we are dedicated to make substantial contributions to solving the major challenges of our time, climate change and digitalisation. To achieve our goals, we rely on our specific research, development and technology competencies, which are the basis of our commitment to excellence in all areas. With our open culture of innovation and our motivated, international teams, we are working to position AIT as Austria's leading research institution at the highest international level and to make a positive contribution to the economy and society.

Our Center for Digital Safety & Security is looking for new Ingenious Partner for our location in Vienna. Our Competence Unit for Cooperative Digital Technologies is leading in applied research on the development of data-based IT solutions for various application scenarios, including the design of new and innovative solutions supporting communities in increasing their resilience and achieving their sustainable development goals (SDG). As a reliable partner of industry and public authorities, we work on digital tools for a sustainable and resilient society based on current research results and in collaboration with end users and our customers. The focus of our applications is on the protection of society during crises and disasters as well as climate change impact assessment.

Our Responsive Sensing and Analytics team specialises in developing efficient and scalable algorithms designed to equip emergency services with critical safety information and analytical insights. Leveraging sensor and IoT systems deployed on unmanned robots and drones, these algorithms are tailored for rapid response scenarios, such as the release of biological, chemical, or radiological hazardous substances (CBRN) during disasters. Furthermore, our research streamlines data exchange by advancing semantic and cross-domain interoperability, enabling clear communication between machines and people.
