The University of Wuppertal invites applications for a professorship in design and building typology. The position will be based in the School of Architecture and Civil Engineering. We are looking for an outstanding personality who will continuously develop this area in research and teaching.
This professorship focuses on the cultural dimension of architecture. The job profile is based on design as an applied cultural technique and building typology as a scientific discipline. Based on a deep understanding of cultural-historical and contemporary social dynamics, in depth knowledge and agile methods are used to develop architectural design through teaching and research.
You are able to demonstrate your qualification for the position by means of their own architectural work, publications, relevant teaching experience, international co-operation, successful acquisition of third-party funding, project and practical experience, activities in national or international committees, etc. Please enclose a portfolio of your work, relevant certificates and supporting documents with your application.
