Description of the research activity:
The Media Interaction Lab (MiL) is part of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano and operates from NOI Techpark. Since 2004, the lab has been researching Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Physical Computing, and Ubiquitous Computing, with a strong focus on designing, implementing, and evaluating next-generation user interfaces. Our research methodology integrates theory, design, and evaluation, tackling real-world challenges in collaboration with industry partners such as BMW, KTM, SEFAR, and Tratter Engineering, while actively engaging users in a user-centered design process. The candidate will have to apply his/her experience in this field (computer graphics, interface development etc.) and contribute to the co-supervision of cutting-edge projects, presenting findings at top-tier conferences such as ACM CHI and ACM UIST.
The Free University of Bozen/Bolzano was founded on 31 October 1997 as a multilingual, internationally oriented institution.
