Assistant Professor

Focus: teaching

Faculty of Psychology in Warsaw
Department of Psychology of Individual Differences, Diagnosis and Psychometrics
Number of teaching hours: 360

Duties:

  • teaching classes in the field of psychology of individual differences and/or psychometrics and/or psychological diagnosis, including master's seminars
  • carrying out organizational tasks related to didactics (creating syllabuses, archiving students' work, issuing grades, meeting with students in the form of consultations/duty, participating in graduation and conducting examinations) 
  • willingness to perform assigned functions and organizational tasks at the Faculty
  • involvement in organizational work at the Faculty of Psychology in Warsaw
  • taking care of the development of teaching competencies through participation in internal trainings organized by both the department and the university, e.g. during the Week of Teaching Competencies
  • developing original classes or introducing qualitative changes to existing programs
  • popularization of psychological knowledge
  • performance of teaching duties in full-time studies and part-time studies according to the schedule (conducting classes on specific weekdays and weekends)
  • supporting students in their development, in particular, through substantive supervision of student organizations

Requirements:

  • possession of a master's degree in psychology and a doctoral degree in the social sciences or humanities in the discipline of psychology, or in the medical sciences
  • having knowledge in the field of psychology of individual differences and/or psychological diagnosis and/or psychometrics
  • min. one year of teaching experience (in conducting classes with students and preparing teaching materials)
  • fluency in the Polish language 
  • computer proficiency and willingness to learn new applications
  • readiness to teach in English 
  • interest in scientific activity
  • readiness to teach also on weekends
  • declaration of employment at SWPS University as the primary place of work

  • a copy of documents certifying the attainment of a doctoral degree and a master's degree in psychology

Formal Criteria:

  • academic achievements: 10% of the final score
  • teaching achievements: 60% of the final score
  • organizational or practical achievements: 30% of the final score
