Your Responsibilities

  • Writing a dissertation in the field of civil/commercial/business law relating to digitization (e.g. web3, AI, online-platforms, rights in data, IP)
  • Independent research in the field of civil and business law
  • Participation in research and publications of the section Law and IT (Prof. Dr. Martin Miernicki)
  • Participation in research projects
  • Independent teaching and participation in teaching and examination tasks
  • Assisting students
  • Participation in organizational and administrative tasks, as well as evaluation measures

Your Profile

  • Completed diploma or master's degree in law
  • Excellent knowledge in civil law and/or commercial/business law
  • Interest in researching issues related to digitization
  • Ability to conduct independent research work
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken German and English
  • Very good IT skills
  • Previous experience of working at the university (e.g. as a student assistant, project assistant etc.) desirable
  • High degree of scientific motivation and goal orientation as well as scientific curiosity
  • Very good communication and teamwork skills, social competence (ability to deal with conflict, willingness to cooperate and learn, intercultural competence)

  • Proof of the language skills, required in the curriculum, if the doctoral program is not completed in the first language.

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 52,007.20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
