Your Responsibilities
- Investigation of physical and chemical processes of single molecules
- Characterization of single molecules on surfaces by scanning tunnelling microscopy
- Manipulation of functional molecules (e.g. switches or motors) on surfaces
- Writing a relvant dissertation at the University of Graz
- Independent teaching of courses and participation in teaching and examination tasks of the institute/center
- Supervision of students
- Participation in organizational and administrative tasks as well as in evaluation measures
Your Profile
- Completed master’s degree in chemistry or physics (or related subjects)
- Experience in at least one of the following areas is desired: surface science, scanning probe microscopy, ultra-high-vacuum or low-temperature techniques
- Scientific curiosity and interest in working on current research questions
- Excellent command of German and English
- Independent working style and high level of initiative
- Strong teamwork and organizational skills

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 52.865,40 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
