About the employer

The American University of Iraq – Baghdad (AUIB) is a non-profit University and will officially open its doors in January 2021. As a “non-profit” university, all fees and tuition payments are used to pay some of the costs of operating the university, but they are not enough to pay everything. For this reason, the university and its sponsors seek funding from outside sources to support scholarships and other costs to keep tuition and fees as low as possible for AUIB students.

AUIB is a non-profit, private university that is fully accredited in Iraq by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, thereby ensuring a high level of academic standards and institutional performance. As an American-style institution of higher education, AUIB will seek accreditation in the United States through the New England Commission on Higher Education (NECHE), as well as accreditation for specific programs from professional accrediting agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
