The University of Applied Sciences Ludwigshafen am Rhein offers a wide range of degree programs within the field of Business Studies, as well as within the Social and Health Sciences. In addition to classic full-time degree programs, we also offer work-study and dual-cooperative study programs. Our course offerings are complemented by distance-learning programs, which enable you to study with us anywhere you wish.

Three important aspects distinguish our university:

First, we provide you with individualized support and attention. Instruction in small-groups and close contact with professors results in a personalized, pleasant learning environment. A number of our departments offer mentorship programs in which you work closely with a professor who serves as your mentor during your entire degree program. Opportunities for individual reflection and discussion as well as guidance from our close-knit support network help you learn more effectively. Thanks to these measures, you will be able to complete your studies—as do a large majority of our students—within the standard period of study.

Second, we are committed to internationalism. Currently we have over one hundred partner universities worldwide, with whom you can easily arrange a semester abroad. Our cooperation with partner universities allows us to offer one of the best international networks of all institutes of higher learning in Rheinland-Pfalz. International stays abroad are a strong component of almost every degree program. You can count on our many years of experience as we prepare you both linguistically and culturally for your stay abroad. Thanks to these initiatives, your semester abroad is as easy to arrange as an internship or research project and should not delay or lengthen the duration of your studies. Additionally, we offer you comprehensive and qualified assistance in identifying funding possibilities.

Third, high-quality instruction is essential to us. For this reason, our professors have spent at least five years practicing their profession before joining the faculty of our university. Furthermore, we place great value on additional didactic training for all of our instructors—from tutors to professors. In addition to this, we provide the most up-to-date and relevant content for your studies, not least because of the fact that we rank among the strongest research universities of applied sciences in the region. What’s more: students directly contribute to the quality management of their degree programs. By regularly participating in surveys, students contribute to the on-going development of learning and pedagogical methods. If you are looking for the typical lecture experience, you will not find it here.

Currently over 4,500 students are preparing for their professional futures at our university. The demand for admission to our programs is consistently high. University resources and lecture space, however, cannot always keep pace with the demand, which means that restricting admissions through a Numerus Clausus (N.C.) is largely unavoidable. The desirability of studying at the University of Applied Sciences Ludwigshafen am Rhein, as at other universities of applied sciences, is supported by the fact that a third of all German students begin their post-secondary education at these institutions.
