The Institut de Biologie Structurale (IBS) is a research center for integrated structural biology funded by the CEA, the CNRS and the University Grenoble Alpes (Unite Mixte de Recherche, UMR 5075).

The IBS employs approximately 270 people. IBS scientists are active in training of undergraduate, master and PhD students and more than 20 Professors and Assistant Professors teach at the University Grenoble Alpes.
The IBS is part of the Partnership for Structural Biology (PSB) whose founding members are the ESRF, the ILL, the EMBL, and the CNRS, the CEA and the University Grenoble Alpes.
