Uni Research Ltd is a research company with more than 500 highly-qualified staff from 30 different nations. The company has an annual turnover of NOK 450 million and is organised in eight departments. Each department is led by a research director. Uni Research carries out research and development in the fields of health, language and information technology, marine molecular biology, the environment, climate, petroleum, culture and social sciences.
Uni Research is actively working with company routines that will ensure the lowest possible environmental impact and therefore the Uni Board decided to introduce an environmental management system as an integrated part of our HSE work. As a part of this process, Uni Research is working systematically to become Eco-Lighthous certified by 2012. Two of our departments are already underway with the certification process and have a goal of achieving Eco-lighthouse status by Fall 2012.
