YOUR TASKS
You will spend 70% of your assignment on scientific research in the field of model-based precision dosing of medications for special patient populations. The specific focus of your project will be on personalized antibiotic dosing in critically ill children and the elderly. The project proposal can be further refined based on the needs of the research group, your interests, and your specific expertise.
You will spend 30% of your time co-supervising PhD students, writing new research proposals, and coordinating networking activities for the research group.
You are expected to disseminate your research results nationally and internationally
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- You hold a PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacometrics, (Bioscience) Engineering, Drug Development, Medical Sciences, or an equivalent degree.
- You have acquired theoretical and practical experience with quantitative modeling and simulation using modeling software (such as NONMEM, Monolix, Simcyp, PK-Sim, GastroPlus, or R).
- Practical clinical experience with dose optimization based on therapeutic drug monitoring and model-informed precision dosing is an asset.
- Experience in the design and/or conduct of clinical studies is a plus.
- You have a good command of English, both written and spoken.
- You possess strong didactic and communication skills.
- You have an interest in supervising PhD students.
- You have a critical mindset and a self-reliant, problem-solving, and results-oriented attitude.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU
- We offer you a fixed-term contract for a period of one year. Upon positive evaluation and acquisition of external funding, this contract may be extended.
- Your contract will start on 15/09/2025 at the earliest.
- Your remuneration will be determined by salary scale WM1 to WM4 (if you hold a Master’s degree) or salary scale PD1 to PD4 (if you hold a doctorate). Click here for more information about our salary scales.
