Duties:

• conducting teaching activities with the possibility of developing research activities, in cooperation with the interdisciplinary environment of the SWPS University and the Faculty of Design, where the direction of Computer Science is conducted 
• conducting teaching activities in the field of computer science in one 

• or two areas from the list: 

  • algorithms and data structures
  • artificial intelligence and machine learning
  • cyber security
  • computer networks
  • computer architecture
  • computer statistics
  • artificial intelligence (application of neural networks in the area of data analysis)
  • Big Data
  • Internet of Things (design of Raspberry Pi, Arduino),

  at the headquarters of the Design Department in Warsaw

• engaging in relationship building with students 
• building relationships within the University and with the socio-economic environment
• engaging in organizational activities of the Department and the University
• publishing in reputable scientific journals and publications
• obtaining external funds for conducting scientific research

Requirements:

• a doctoral degree in the field of sciences and natural sciences (discipline: computer science or related) or in the field of engineering and technical sciences (discipline: technical informatics and telecommunications) (obtained no later than September 30, 2025)
• teaching experience of more than 3 years in at least one of the following of the following specialties: 
• programming
  • computer networks
  • computer architecture
  • computer statistics
  • artificial intelligence and machine learning
  • Data science
  • Internet of Things (IoT)
  • cyber security 
  • scientific achievements in the field of computer science documented by publications indexed in international databases, including those appearing in journals with impact factor and included in the list of scientific journals and peer-reviewed materials from international conferences of the Ministry of Education
  • willingness to collaborate in the interdisciplinary environment of SWPS University
  • motivation and a plan for academic development
  • intermediate knowledge of English
  • readiness to teach also on weekends
  • declaration of employment at the SWPS University as the primary place of work within the meaning of Article 120 of the Act of July 20, 2018. Law on Higher Education and Science (i.e., Journal of Laws of 2020, item 85).

Required documents:

• CV with a list of scientific, teaching and organizational achievements

  (with direct reference to the eligibility criteria stated above), as well as including a description of other professional experience and interests

• a copy of documents certifying the attainment of a doctoral degree (or a statement of the planned date of attainment)
• a statement confirming knowledge of a foreign language at the required level

Formal criteria:

• academic achievements - 50% of the final assessment
• teaching achievements - 50% of the final assessment
• organisational and practical achievements - 25% of the final assessment
