Your Responsibilities

  • Autonomous research and publication activities in the field of behavioural ecology and evolutionary ecology with a focus on aquatic organisms
  • Participation ongoing research projects of the working group ‘Molecular Ecology’
  • Acquisition of research grants
  • Teaching in the Department of Biology to the extent of 4 semester hours per week, partly in German

Your Profile

  • Doctorate or PhD in biology with focus zoology, evolutionary biology or behavioral ecology
  • Independent publication activity in the field of evolutionary biology/behavioural ecology
  • Practical knowledge in the design and implementation of behavioural experiments
  • Practical knowledge of genetic analysis methods and statistical data analysis
  • Research focus on aquatic organisms and ecosystems
  • Knowledge of organismic zoology and aquatic ecosystems (desired)
  • Experience in third-party funding acquisition (desired)
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Ability to communicate and work in a team

We offer an annual gross salary of € 69,060.59 for a fulltime position.
