Over de werkgever

The GIGA is composed of 4 main components:

  • research
  • technological platforms
  • training center
  • biotech business hosting

Research

The GIGA is composed of 9 thematic units of research revolving around 4 main axes: cancer, cardiovascular diseases, all the diseases related to Immunity, Inflammation and Infection and the neurosciences.

A "GIGA Grants" unit has been created to help the scientific community in the acquisition and management of competitive research grants. The team provides support ranging from project development and file preparation to grant administration.

Technological platforms

Technological platforms result from the pooling of a set of technological and human resources in order to exploit resources and offer cutting-edge technology, in line with the needs of researchers. Each of these technological platforms, managed by a scientist and an academic, offers its services to academic researchers and researchers from the industrial world.
Training

In October 2018, GIGA created its own doctoral school as a support in the training of young PhD students. FOREM manages the Biotechnology training center for jobseekers, workers and university students

Business

GIGA has 3 reception areas for biotech companies: space 1 managed by SPI, space 2 managed by Meusinvest, and a labhotel.
