The position will report directly to the Dean of the College of Art & Science

Job description/ duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Develop archaeology undergraduate program curriculum, jointly with head of department and concerned faculty.
  • Set up archaeology labs/facilities and oversee their processes.
  • Teach courses and field work for undergraduates in archaeology.
  • Advise major students on all matters that relate to their course schedule and academic success.
  • Participate in department/college meetings, take part in various committees, and assist in recruitment activities.
  • Engage in research activities, university, and public service, as appropriate.
  • Be familiar with all the rules, regulations and policies that govern teaching, research, and interactions with members of the university community and always observe them.

Qualifications:  Candidate must have 

  • PhD in archaeology, anthropology, or a closely related discipline from a reputable accredited North American university.
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience and fieldwork post-graduation in a college/ university setting.
  • Familiarity with American system of higher education.
