1 Professor (Assistant or Associate) in Finance (Teaching Oriented) (Lille or Paris Campus)

In response to its continuous growth, IÉSEG School of Management is looking for a full-time professor in Finance at the Assistant or Associate Professor level (Lille or Paris Campus, starting September 2024). He/She/They will be a part of the Department of “Finance”. Demonstrating proven expertise in the fields of coding (preferably in Python), data analytics/visualization, or teaching with Bloomberg or LSEG (formerly Refinitiv) Workspace will be considered a plus for the position.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT 

The department of “Finance” consists of over 35 full-time academic staff who is involved in several programs, with many of them including topics related to sustainable finance, green finance or climate finance, for instance the Grande Ecole Program, the MSc in Finance, the MSc in Banking, Capital Markets and Financial Technology, the Apprenticeship program in Financial Institutions: Risk, Compliance, and Data Analytics as well as the Executive Program in Financial Management. The School provides ample resources to support a variety of research interests and activities (Business Source Complete, WRDS, CRSP, TRTH, Refinitiv Workspace, Refinitiv Tick History, Datastream and Bloomberg among others). ABOUT THE POSITION 

Teaching will be the main focus of the selected candidate by teaching courses in Finance at the undergraduate, graduate and/or postgraduate level. In addition, he/she/they will contribute to the development of the Department’s programs. As such, we are looking for candidates with strong teaching skills, and who are fluent in English, as most courses are taught in this language. Professional experience and knowledge of French are a plus, but not a requirement. 

With regards to research, the selected candidate will contribute to the vibrant research community at IESEG through their research. He/she/they is therefore expected to hold a PhD, have a publication record (or potential for Assistant Professors) in peer-reviewed journals, as well as a good international network.
