Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Researcher to work in a project striving to understand biological mechanisms behind leukemia development and drug resistance led by Dr. Olli Lohi. This Jane & Aatos Erkko Foundation funded project focuses on modelling of acute lymphoblastic leukemia in zebrafish, investigation of drug resistance and its mechanisms, and development of novel leukemia therapies by using zebrafish models, patients samples, cell lines and genome-wide experimental assays such as ChIP-Seq, Gro-Seq, WGS and single cell sequencing.

The position is filled for 27 months and there is a six-month trial period. The planned starting date is 1st of October 2019 or as mutually agreed.
The salary will be based on the requirement level chart for the teaching and research staff of Finnish Universities. The preliminary requirement level is 5. In addition to the basic salary, a supplementary salary component will be paid according to the personal performance. Typically, the salary for a post-doc researcher is around 3300-3600 EUR.
